Is Minvestment Gone for Good?

Thursday 31 January 2008 @ 5:00 pm

With the site down most of the time yesterday, no IP was able to picked neither. It was down briefly in the past, but it was able to recover after a day later. Will we have the same fortune as before? Nobody knows except Minvestment. I suspect this time could be real. Most likely (99%) chance being a goner. It has been around for too long now.

I was able to track down its old IP thru my logs, 72.20.16.178. This definitely will be declared as a scam site after it no longer pays us, I am included for the pending payment. Perhaps my users can provide inputs to this site too.

Paypal Merchants with More Protection - Expanded Seller Protection

Thursday 31 January 2008 @ 3:26 am

Paypal

Sarah Livnat, Paypal has updated on the upcoming Expanded Seller Protection, and what to expect from them. On summary in a nutshell,

  • No more confirmed address. Merchants can ship to whichever address the buyer provides them through PayPal whether it is confirmed or not.
  • No more coverage limit. The coverage payout limit under the Seller Protection Policy is $5,000 per year. Expanded seller protection has no limit.
  • Coverage in more places around the world. Coverage is now extended to the 190 markets supported by PayPal, so merchants can ship to customers wherever they are.
  • No additional integration required. Merchants won’t need to go through any additional integration steps or change their checkout experience to take advantage of the additional protection.

The changes will take place first with eBay power sellers in US, UK, Canada and Hong Kong (wonder why Singapore isn’t in). It’s actually a part of the huge installment that’s coming in for eBay/ Paypal for this January to nudge a level higher for Power Sellers with their own rating system. (more changes here)

The team definitely have been working on the legislation part to boost the quality of sellers in eBay. The perks look pretty.

Polexinvest / Polex-invest Updates

Wednesday 30 January 2008 @ 6:06 pm

After 20 days of investment deposit into the Polexinvest program, I got my first payment from them today. The program is not bad at all. 200% including your principle within 20 days. But the question is how long can they last? Since Polexinvest is relatively new, I would expect it to last another 2 cycles before it closes out. The key is do not be greedy. once you get the earning, invest only the interests you got from them, in that case, you can still have your original money back.

Making gold with The Gold Casino

Wednesday 30 January 2008 @ 6:06 pm

The Gold Casino
Greetings everyone. Today I am going to introduce you to a neat gambling affiliate program offered by The Gold Casino. As you may know already, The Gold Casino is the only online casino that allows you to gamble with digital gold (no HYIPs don’t count as gambling). You can instantly fund your player account with e-gold and pecunix. Should you chose to, you can always withdraw your entire balance, at any time, within seconds. Neat!

Now, here is how you make money with this casino.

Step 1: Sign-up for The Gold Casino

Step 2: Fund your account with anything above 0.10 grams of gold (via e-gold or pecunix). I recommend minimum 1 gram.

Step 3: Play a few rounds at the slots or maybe play multilayer poker. This doesn’t matter, as long as you play a few rounds at the casino. This is a requirement imposed by the casino itself, so I had to go through this as well.

Step 4: Once you’ve played a few rounds at your favorite game you will be listed as “active” in their system so you can now use your referral link to start promoting.

Here are the compensation details:

Exciting Name
of Reward:
  Number of hands
your progeny plays
for you to receive
this reward:
  How much gold
you are paid:

  PARTY   250   0.20 gram
  CELEBRATION   2000   0.50 gram
  CARNIVAL   11500   FIVE GRAMS

Not bad for basically doing nothing other than promoting their site. If you decide to try this affiliate program I wish you the most success!

e-gold Payment System Now in French

Wednesday 30 January 2008 @ 6:06 pm

e-gold

Mon Dieu! e-gold is now available in French. Rejoice all ye francophones for the time to released from the lingual shackles of the Angles is upon ye. Ok, I am being a bit overly dramatic here, but I’m sure you get the message that this is a big usability point for e-gold. We -english speakers- must realize that not everyone speaks “the language of business and commerce.” I applaud e-gold for this work, and I hope soon we will see a Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic translation. This way they would cover pretty much all the most commonly spoken languages. Vive le e-gold!

Wednesday 30 January 2008 @ 2:34 am

No Bullshit Network Forum

Within the next 2 months, we’ll be upgrading all our blogs wordpress versions and phasing out HYIPs in the Nobs Network Forum (NN). What would you like to discuss in the forum? Or rather what would you like to see in the new forum without HYIPs? What makes you want to stay in a forum for discussion? Your opinion would be most appreciated.

I would like to thank the usual forum participants gaby, mbongwe, allinvain, Gray, TraderJ, Echo and many more for making NN a homely place to chat.

The current Forum URL is here, would appreciate your opinion.

Noca To Save The World?

Wednesday 30 January 2008 @ 2:34 am

NocaOkay maybe I’m exaggerating here but it sounds exciting.

Mark Hendrickson, Techcrumb wrote about a brand new payment system that’s coming from ex-Visa employees attempting to virtually eliminate transaction fees by bypassing the credit card companies altogether with its own online payment service.

The name is cool, and should it does what its preaching, it’ll be absolutely saving consumers tonnes when it comes to purchasing anything be it services or goods related. Like Mark mentioned, most of the online carts solutions like Paypal, Google or even AmazonPay charges really exorbitant fees when checking out for really small packages like books/ off the shelf items.

And with the recent Social craze, Noca has launched two beta Facebook applications Help Your World and OneClick Pay. Help Your World is basically a donation portal that allows you to use e-cheques to donate a dollar at a time to help for a particular cause (at this time, helping a mountaineer like Jason to climb Mount Everest).

I couldn’t exactly test out OneClick Pay at this point since they’re ironing out some issues (Installed, but not working).

Consumer Cheers

Registration will be simple, and they won’t ask for your social security number. No credit cards needed and you can utilise their OneClick Pay to send funds to your friends or to buy something from someone online easily. Accumulate rewards too as a user, with discounts, rebates and cash back offers.

Merchant Perks

For merchants, you can read more on how Noca actually optimizes the process in the 3 intermediaries, namely the Bank, 3rd Party Processor and Credit Card Company, to give the cost and performance cutting age which it promises electronic transaction encryption, fraud detection algorithm based on customer data and also a patented method for risk score evaluation.

Thoughts

Hopefully we can see OneClick Pay working real soon. I would really like to test out their service to see if its really that effective in handling micro payments. Moreover there are some concerns with them not needing much user information for registration (Anti Money Laundering policies) though they’re in Canada. Its actually sad to say but I’m skeptical of how it will take off from here.

The products and notions are good and clear, but it won’t be taking off soon unless there are enough merchants that will be using them. They’ll probably have to prove to the merchants on their benefits and superiority over existing payment system giants like Paypal, Google Checkout.

And most importantly, if there are reversed/ erroneous transactions, how would they be handling them. Clearing the transactions right away for consumers and having the money bounced right after would be disastrous for merchants.

Still, it’s a concept worth waiting and taking a look for. I’d be interested to see how will they iron out the mentioned issues. Visit www.noca.com and register for their news and releases.

GalleonFX - Here I come again!

Tuesday 29 January 2008 @ 8:05 pm

GalleonFX

Hello everyone. Greetings to all you forex traders and forex aficionados. Some of you no doubt read my previous posts where I chickened out of my GalleonFX MA. Well, I gave it some thought and I came to the conclusion that it was a rash decision. I am now back with and this time I am going to let it ride come hell or high water. My account will still be in a drawdown but judging from what I’ve heard from people who are still in the MA it looks like Galleon is making some progress towards pulling our accounts out this massive drawdown.

Now let’s talk numbers. My test account survived but it’s now at $704.20 from $1100. Can Galleon give me a $400 gain? Hmm, I wonder. If they pull another one of those lucky 75% monthly returns for sure it will. I am not counting on that though. I think it will be a very long and slow ride.

For those of you who are new to this blog and haven’t read my previous posts, you can join GalleonFX but the minimum is no longer $1000. I got in with that tiny account size due to a special promotion. The minimum account size is now at $10,000 which as anyone will tell you is still pretty low compared to most managed forex accounts out there.
